New Tanya Lacey!!! Really like this, much better than her previous stuff but still not the best, I think she can definitely do more, I wonder what music shes hiding away?
I do love me some Agnes since I first came across her with her UK debut with the track Release Me. This is the Swedish Idol winner's new single, really like it, less clubby than the rest of her tunes. Check it out check it out!
So this is sick. A nice fuller between waiting for her new material to surface. Kinda reminiscent of the cover by French singer Coeur De Pirate that I blogged a while back, and when I say it's kinda reminiscent, I mean it, they're both still very different lol.
I've been loving Vince Kidd for a very long time now and its great to see the public responding to him like they do with him getting into the final of The Voice. Here's a SICK remix of his tune Sick Love by the Mystery Jets, who knew Vince could get more soul than he already does ah? Love it!
Newwwww shizzle from the Jon Mcxro aka The Stereotypes featuring JoJo from their album The Fifth Of Never The Gold Cup Edition. REEEEAL nice vibe to this.
Thanks to producer Jon Hockley for putting me onto this girl. Juilette Ashby, I've been literally rinsing this track for months now and now is the perfect time to blog it since the sun is out.
The North London singer has been buzzing around the music scene for a while. Supporting Brian McKnight at the 02, be-friending and living with Amy Winehouse, working with producers such as Alan Grass (Earth, Wind & Fire), Jazzwad (Damian Marley) and now on the BBC 1Xtra playlist as a BBC Introducing artist, Ashby is a woman about town.
Out of all the material I've listened to I keep coming back to this song. I just love the lovers reggae groove of it. My favourite tune right now - Juliette reminds me of a reggae-soul Paloma Faith. Cant wait to hear more!
Howdy people! Myself and the Live Magazine online team has been organising lots of interviews over at the Live Magazine youtube page. Here are the most recent ones in case you haven't seen them already. We're close to hitting a million views on our page very soon :)
AMAZING to hear how far Project Alfie has come since I first blogged him back in July 2011! Now he's released his mixtape, gone to NYC to work with The Hitmen and has a cut on the next Nas album. YES NAS!!!!!!! How incredible. I love the growth.
Check out new track Brief Encounter, its along the same thread as his other bits, soulful melodies with a cool Mod, Lulu, Dexter's Laboratory esk concept video.
Hello! Been a long time since I've written an Introducing post but heres another one for your adoring ears! This is 20 year old singer-songwriter Lili K. Came across this chick a couple days ago and I've been hooked on her voice and amazing vocal range since. The Chicago based singer combines her pop vocals with some jazz-soul instrumentals but still keeps her tunes so fresh with an urban twang.
Currently building up her fan base in the US with a mini tour and I hope, working on some new material also, I'm excited to hear whats next from the singer. Check her out!
New Fanny! Or Faye shall I say. Why the name change? Well Faye is her real name and shes signed to a British label now and us immature Britains would probably laugh at the name Fanny if we heard it on the radio. *He He He*. Lol.
Here's her new track titled Water Against The Rocks, it's great and thats why its on my blog!
NEW LIVE MAGAZINE IS OUT!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOW! As one of the music editors I pick oragnise, commission and write, along with our contributors, the features below. The ones I handled included were Marina, Sam Sparro (Excellent album!!), Last Japan, Jakwob and Mindless Behaviour. Whatta great job! Pick up a copy at Nandos, Schools and Colleges all round London, various youth/music/tv/film events, shops in Bricklane, Camden and more more more. If you're to lazy to leave your house, you can read the issue online right HERE.
FREAKING LOVE JESSIE WARE!!!!! New vibe from the British songstress, kinda like an old school TLC vibe, really like the Tatyana Ali reference as well. This girl is AMAZING. Cant not wait for her album and hopefully tour.
Defected is a label I fully respect. They always pump out some sick club music and this is no different with Solo on production and some added help from rising starlet Syron!
LOVE THIS SONG!!!!! Kozzie is hot hot hot hot right now with this tune getting lots of play on radio and generally causing a grime riot. Setting the scene on fire.
Heard this on the radio the other day and found the audio today, love the original and the remix is just as great. This is definitely one of my favourite singles of 2012 - excellent.
Ive been a fan of Ava Leigh for AGES now. The young artist has gone quiet in recent years, I'm not sure why but today I just discovered her soundcloud and this track below which in particular I love. I'm really excited to hear her new material.
After all the anticipation, finally heres the video for the alternative R&B track from some of the members of the Last Night In Paris gang titled Too Many Stars. Vocals include Nova Dreamz, Flowzart and Rainy Milo and some SICCCCK visuals by Jordan Wi Fi.
Liking the stuff they put out but I feel its all just a taster, all we need now is a mixtape/EP launched at a Last Night In Paris art exhibition, a night full of all the sickness creativity has to offer.
A few weeks ago or maybe even a bit earlier than that, I blogged the acoustic version of this track which I LOVE and now here's the full video. Recently getting a lot of radio play, Ebru continues to build her music repertoire with new track Mad featuring Durrty Goodz.
Loving the charisma Ebru always has and that feisty attitude she puts into her music.
This is the first release from the fiery red head that is Amira. I wrote this girl's biography so I know quite a bit about her musical journey so far so it'll be interesting to how she grows from here with her debut, a great teaser track to what is to come.
It's been nearly a year since I first blogged about Etta Bond, its AMAZING to see the grown and journey of her as an artist and this is just another chapter in her already gleaming repertoire of great music. Here she features on Warren Xclnce's production which is one track from the Producer/Graphic designer's EP.
So we got his EP to look forward and Etta's! Oh my gosh, LIFE. IS. GOOD! Below is the original track and below that is the remix by Savcloud, both are disgustingly sick! Yep.
This song has just saved me from a revision comma. I've been stuck to the AQA website all day doing past papers and of course the temptation of music over powers me so I check my soundcloud and YESSSSSS, a new great tune from Cainaforce appears with the excellent Fred Cox on production.
Liking bass heavy funky vibe but with that perfect pop balance. It's literally saved my brain from boiling. LOVE!
Ny has most definitely stepped up her game through her last few releases and this is another demonstration of that. Love the way this is written, her music shows a lot more maturity and how shes grow as an artist and I'm sure as a person as well so its great to see her releasing music that captures all audiences.
I do love love love LOVE me some Disclosure. Some excellent producers making amazing beats for the 21st Century Garage heads. If you haven't heard their first single from EP The Face then definitely do click the link above because its one of my favourite songs of 2012 and I'm sure it will be yours as well.
New track What's In Your Head is just as stella, not so much focusing on the vocal but the song as a whole and the generally mellow vibe. Brilliant!
New something something from the ever mystery One Room. Possibly my favourite track so far of theirs, its a little bit more revealing plus the female vocal makes it a lot more easy going. Sweet!
It's been a long long time since we last heard from La Dolla. Why? Who knows *shrugs shoulders* but here she releases her first cover of the classic tune Gypsy Woman, which is glorious - La Dolla also looks stella hot which is always a bonus.
I''ve got LOAAADS of love for Cleo Sol. Always a consistent artist making consistently great music and this video is no different. Great cover of The Cardigans! I LOVE THIS SONG, it's like 3 minutes of sunshine.
It's Kookie! I actually found out about this artist through being asked to write her biography, I did and learnt a lot about her, she is a great girl. And she's doing her thang, I love her vocal swag and this track in particular has that Lil Kim - Put Your Lighters Up vibe. Love it.
Wow! If you checked my blog out last week you would see the British Talent post I wrote about Collard and rightly so as he's releasing some tune-age! And I also wrote about Tara Carosielli's new track so much sure you look through my blog to find those.
You may recognise this guy's voice rather than his face as he is the vocal on the new Rudimental tune Feel The Love. That song is undeniably a smash so what a better time to start releasing your viral stuff.
Liking his raspy tone, his voice is so much older than me, he has that vocal maturity, very intriguing!
If you've been reading my blog for a long time you would know that I have a deep deep love for 14th and their music. I first blogged about them back in September and ever since I've been documenting their musical journey and its amazing to see how far they've come.
Now the duo have collaborated with the producing-DJ machine that is Jakwob on his The Prize mixtape which is the Bees Knees! Gotta love 14th.
Just come across this girl today - 22 year old Belgium singer-songwriter Selah Sue, I love her reggae-soul-jazz vibe, its a great antidote to that Capital Radio pop stuff. The below track This World was the 3rd single from her self-titled album released this year that went number 1 in Belgium.
LOVE the visuals as well! She's kind of everything I wish Lana Del Rey was lol yeah I said it!!!!
